Joe and The 1937 Flood were invited to be part of the West Virginia state press corps' annual "Third House" satire of the state legislature on March 5, 2002. When the senators and delegates were late to appear, the band was pressed into service. And they even got Gov. Bob Wise on stage to help out with some fancy footwork!
