Cathy Grant is an accomplished violinist and fiddle instructor at the Fret 'N Fiddle.

  • Studied violin and viola at Oberlin College and the Cleveland Institute of Music
  • Learned fiddling from the best West Virginia and Kentucky fiddlers
  • Registered Suzuki Method teacher
  • Teaches fiddle workshops for all levels at schools throughout the southeast
  • Fiddle styles taught include Old-Time, Bluegrass, Scottish and Irish
  • Fiddling is taught by ear - you are encouraged to tape record lessons for home study - Note reading will be taught by request.
  • Teaches students of any skill level, from total beginners to those wanting to brush up on any aspect of fiddling.
  • Works with young children as well as adults of all ages. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend lessons with children.
